Vivek Techno School is sponsored by the prominent ‘Bagaria Education Trust’. This trust was constituted by a group of hardworking professionals from Rajasthan who felt the need of special efforts for promoting education in the rural areas. Their focus was primarily on the education of the rural women. Their introductory endeavour was an exclusive drive called “Shiksha Karmi” for the education of the daughter-in-laws of the villages. The motive behind this drive was to make the women educated enough so that they can impart education to the village children in the future.
This initiative later got the shape of Gramothan Vidyapeeth, the School that was established in Nagaur in the year 1992. Turning more pages in the book, the promoters wrote another leaf for the history, they established the Swami Keshvanand Institute of Technology, Management & Gramothan popularly known as SKIT at Jaipur in the year 2000. And yet another venture was the Marudhar Engineering College at Nagaur which began in 2003.
Then in year 2008 Vivekananda Institute of Technology and Vivekananda Institute of Technology(East) followed by Vivekananda Global University in 2012, it is an attempt to foreshadow the importance of technological revolution by using modern management techniques and harnessing the potential of India. The contributions of the great people like Swami Vivekananda, has been the source of inspiration for the promoters and, therefore, the institutes have been named after him.
After running 9 educational institutions successfully in different parts of the Rajasthan state, Vivek Techno Schools is their latest venture and it will be beginning its second session from the academic session 2016-17..
